Puerto Rico is an island in the Caribbean Sea, located east of the Dominican Republic. It is also part of the United States of America, as a self-governing commonwealth. The island is mostly mountainous, although there is a coastal plain belt in the north. It features tropical marine climate, which is mild and has little seasonal temperature variation. Since Puerto Rico is part of the United States, travellers will have to meet the same entry requirements as to continental US, meaning that US citizen don’t need passports to enter the island. Puerto Rico offers many attractions for the tourist, including visit to a plantation, scuba diving or golf. However, spa tourism is not developed as much as one could expect, with only a few places being able to called themselves a real spa resorts.
